ACI, with its Payments Cloud strategy, is in a great position to solve the growing needs of these financial institutions by renovating the existing and building new products and solutions into a single converged cloud-native solution, ACI High Value for Real-Time Payments that can address the full spectrum of account-based payments needs: a multi-scheme, multi-channel, service-enabled Real-Time Payments that supports both low-value batches, low-value and high-value real-time payments. ACI’s strategy will continue to focus on ACI-managed SaaS solutions but in the near term, we are prioritizing scope to support the bank’s intentions to deploy/manage ACI’s solutions by itself.

Job Description

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions that power our payment products. Write well-structured code that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Technical Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of software engineering principles, payment processing, and security protocols to contribute innovative ideas and solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Feature Enhancement: Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to translate product requirements into technical designs and implementations. Enhance existing features and contribute to the development of new ones.
• Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards. Implement and advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery timelines. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and diagnose software defects and incidents, providing timely solutions and collaborating with the team to prevent future occurrences.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices to foster their professional growth. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-3 years software development experience. Cobol, unix, and payments processing are the primary things for a generic Cobol developer. Even better of course would be MTS Cobol experience because of the proprietary nature of MTS Cobol. 
• Angular / ReactJS , HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL , Java 
• Experience in C/C++ would be a plus because of occasional work in the nex tree.
• Experience in Linux / Unix / Mainframe (Zos / MVS / OS380) environment, basic system Commands (UNIX / TSOE) & VSAM.
• Experience in working with RDBMS (Oracle / Sybase?? / PostgreSQL?? / DB2 / UDB) and working with complex SQL Queries.
• Some familiarity with AZURE environment and Java / Python / Ansible / BASH Scripting will be a big plus.
• Experience in DevOps implementation
• Familiarity with code management tools (GIT, Synergy, etc.) is desirable. 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to both legacy and new age technologies, to solve problems and take the product in new directions.
• Ability to collaborate with a global team and work with attention to detail & multitask under tight deadlines.
• Previous card payments experience and knowledge to our networks such as VISA, Mastercard, Discover etc.

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Business knowledge about card payments industry is a plus.
• Previous experience in developing MTS software solutions 
• Business knowledge about the Wire Transfer industry knowledge is a plus
• Work Experience in Agile Methodology would be preferable.

• BE, BTech Comp Science, BTech Electronics, BE / BTech IT, MSc Comp Sc, MCA
