Eligibility Criteria for Avalara Recruitment Drive 2025

As a Software Development Engineer, you will design, develop and integrate. You will be asked to have a background in integrating business applications using multiple integration tools, with additional experience in Oracle ERP or other ERP Systems being a significant advantage. You will collaborate with multiple teams across the organization. You have experience in JavaScript, with knowledge of TypeScript. You will be reporting to the Senior Technical Lead.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

Responsibilities:

• Experienced in using multiple integration technologies and frameworks.
• Design integration solutions using JavaScript.
• Collaborate with teams to gather and analyze integration requirements.
• Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs to facilitate system communication.
• Ensure the and reliability of integration solutions.
• Promptly troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
• Document integration processes and solutions for future reference and team collaboration.
• Proficient in JavaScript, with knowledge of TypeScript being an added advantage.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats.
• Understand of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.
• Work with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience reviewing code to find and address potential issues and defects.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

Qualifications:

Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments

Experience: 3+ years

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience in API development using NodeJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

Previous experience in a similar integration role.

Experience building and consuming Restful APIs

Certification in relevant integration technologies.

Adept with Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles

Create technical documentation for APIs ( e.g. Swagger) and components

Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
