We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. 

As a Software Engineer III – Python Full Stack Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank Markets Technology Team, you’ll build our next generation business analytics platform. We will land financial data from various front office and product control platforms and will be the primary source of data for running business analytics. This is a great opportunity to work at the intersection of critical front office, product control facing data analytics and big data technologies. You’ll be a part of high energy team and have the opportunity to participate in building out the platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize user interfaces using React, TypeScript
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products
• Implement testing for your code to ensure reliability and performance
• Continuously improve your skills and stay updated with the latest industry trends
• Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with peer guidance
• Interpret architecture and design representations as well as nonfunctional requirements to develop secure, stable software against a defined architecture
• Actively apply automation to reduce manual toil in the Software Development Life Cycle
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize basic data sets in service of technical troubleshooting and generating insights to drive continuous improvements
• Break down routine technical tasks to troubleshoot and solve issues
• Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
• Partner with information modelling teams on firmwide logical data models

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Experience in fronted and backend development
• Experience in Python and React developer
• Baseline knowledge of software, applications and technical processes within a given technical discipline 
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, with a passion to build an inclusive and innovative culture
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
• Proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Basic knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Working Knowledge of cloud technologies and modern front-end technologies like React
• Agile based software development experience
• Prior financial or banking experience is a plus
• Knowledge of AWS is added advantage
